Alona Sokurenko
Biography
Alona Sokurenko is a Ukrainian mixed-media artist and designer based in Amsterdam. She explores the anxieties about living and existence, and the right to be. Alona’s creative process is intuitive, often embracing randomness to create unexpected results. Nature elements and landscapes are the main subject matter of her paintings. The works often merge various mediums, creating semi-abstract, dream-like compositions that invite viewers to contemplate and wander in the ephemeral and the ethereal.
